Sales Executive

BetterUnite is a SaaS solution for nonprofit organizations to optimize raising money online. Our innovative and comprehensive fundraising ecosystem is a one-stop-shop solution built to empower orgs to accomplish data-driven fundraising by bringing all of the fundraising software tools needed into one place. BetterUnite is free to onboard and begin raising money – we offer organizations transaction-based pricing so that they are able to do the work of fundraising and pay for software with money that’s raised or allow donors to cover the fees entirely.

BetterUnite has been built intentionally and in collaboration with fundraising professionals to include a robust donor management system, industry-leading virtual event and event tools with mobile guest experience and silent and live auction supports, crowdfunding, giving pages, membership and volunteer management and administrative tools like grants and pledge management.

Our small but mighty team is expanding. We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our sales team and work with our company leadership to round out our sales process.

You are a perfect fit for this opportunity if you have:
  • Highly motivated self-starter willing to set the tone and structure for the position
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising efforts, you don't have to have worked at a nonprofit but need to be familiar with nonprofit basic structures, fundraising and outreach efforts
  • Understanding of nonprofit development strategies and techniques to advise potential customers
  • Industry knowledge and familiarity
  • Familiarity with software concepts, like CRM and fundraising and event software a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to network in order to increase sales opportunities, attend marketing events and actively support marketing campaigns
  • Naturally become a “Trusted Advisor” to our prospective clients by demonstrating value through strategic counsel and expertise, value of solutions, and our product
  • Client acumen demonstrated at every Executive level by understanding technology, client strategic growth by reviewing public information and customer research
  • Demonstrate thought leadership pertaining to nonprofit and fundraising technical solutions

Job Responsibilities
  • You will help create and execute a strategic and comprehensive sales plan, including identifying target accounts
  • Plan and outreach to existing qualified leads, including calls and other active engagement methods to improve lead to customer transition
  • Execute sales processes for new leads from multiple channels, including professional networks, advertisement, public information, nonprofit service providers, cold calls, and referrals
  • Ensure customer continuity by planning and executing an account management plan, processes and communication cadence
  • Maintain CRM system with accurate customer and prospect information
  • Account Management - Lead designated accounts, account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales cycles
  • Leverage BetterUnite solutions when identifying and communicating with all leads, pursuits, customers, partners, service providers and nonprofit organizations

Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience sales experience
  • 2+ years experience working with or within nonprofit organizations
  • Proven track record of over-quota achievement (development, organizational or sales)
  • Comfortable with being single point of contact with new customers to assess needs and devise targeted solutions

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience using CRM system to manage a pipeline, customer journey - D365 preferred

Support Engineer

  • Highly motivated self-starter willing to take the job responsibilities and communications personally to excel
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising efforts, you don't have to have worked at a nonprofit but need to be familiar with nonprofit basic structures, fundraising and outreach efforts
  • Understanding of development strategies and techniques to advise potential customers
  • Industry knowledge and familiarity
  • Familiarity with software concepts, like Zendesk and fundraising and event software a plus
  • Naturally become a “Trusted Advisor” to our clients by demonstrating value through strategic counsel and expertise, value of solutions, and our product
  • Ability to stay positive and neutral in the face of varying customer tones of communication

Job Responsibilities
  • You will join the team to help take on the support requests coming in via our case managemetn tool, Zendesk
  • You may be asked to provide pre-event and in-event support to some of our customers who select these options
  • You may have follow up meeting with our customers to make sure they are OK to continue using our system successfully
  • Maintain Case Management system with accurate customer and activity information

Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience working with or within nonprofit organizations
  • A previous role in support or similar is preferred
  • Comfortable with being single point of contact with customers to assess needs and devise targeted solutions

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior support experience preferred
