Austin Youth River Watch's celebration to help support the important work we do for Austin's underserved youth and the environment.

Take Me To The River

Take Me To The River 2019, a celebration for Austin Youth River Watch, will take place on November 21st at Waterloo Greenway at Symphony Square!

We're excited that KVUE reporter and anchor Ashley Goudeau will be our emcee!

Please join us for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music from Brand New Key, a silent auction, and fun surprises throughout the evening to help support the important work we do. Students will host tables to highlight their work in water quality and watershed restoration, and speak about our program impact. Outstanding supporters will be recognized with the Dragonlfy Award!

Parking will be available at Waterloo Greenway, free of charge, in main lot across from the venue at 1100-1110 Red River Street. Attire is business casual.

All money raised will benefit future AYRW youth development and environmental stewardship programming.

Paddle Raise and Live Auction

Part of the fun at Take Me to the River will include a paddle raise activity and LIVE auction items. The paddle raise allows you to support AYRW’s mission in an engaging way, encouraging your friends next to you to do the same. The live auction is an exciting way for you to support AYRW, in exchange for some amazing prizes. This year our live auction prizes are:

Without transportation, the program literally won’t go anywhere.

$500 Paddle Up - Pay for internet for the River Watchers for a month.

$500 – will pay for internet for 2 months, so River Watchers can report their water quality data collected, and share their findings and experiences with the world.

$250 Paddle Up - Will help maintain our fleet of vans for 1 month.

Without tires, the vans for the program literally won’t go anywhere.

$100 Paddle Up - Buy material costs and safety equipment for River Watchers for 1 month.

$100 – will pay for material costs and safety equipment for River Watchers for one month such as sunscreen, bug spray, first-aid, boots, waders, shovels, buckets, gloves, distilled water - all of the necessary materials for the program.

$50 Paddle Up - Buy a tank of gas to take River Watchers out into the field.

$50 – will pay for a tank of gas to take River Watchers out to one of our 27 testing sites around Austin, 20+ restoration sites, pick-up from 10 high schools, and finally take students safely home to 100+ different addresses.
