Guadalupe Centers annual awards gala is back! This year's event, Blanco y Negro "En Color" returns with a colorful twist on the traditional black tie event.

The gala provides the Guadalupe Centers and its supporters an opportunity to honor outstanding individuals and business partners who have contributed to the growth and development of both the Guadalupe Centers and the local Latino community.

The event will include a silent auction, raffles, entertainment, and the presentation of award and scholarship winners. Please support us by registering now for this event, browsing and bidding on our silent auction items, purchasing event offers and/or making a donation.

Mistrees of Ceremonies BIANCA BELTRAN, KMBC 9 News Reporter

Bianca grew up in Oxnard, California, and went on to study Film & Media Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

There her passion for journalism was ignited as a reporter for the weekly university paper, The Bottom Line, and at the community radio station KCSB-FM. Bianca led the first ever student coverage of the 2012 National Republican and Democratic Conventions in Tampa, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina.

After graduating college, Bianca interned for KPCC-FM in Pasadena, California, and worked for CBS Radio in Los Angeles. Her television news career began in Santa Maria, California, as a multimedia journalist for Univision-affiliate station KPMR-TV where she covered hot button issues such as immigration and labor rights. Her work in Spanish-language news continued in Monterey with Univision-affiliate KSMS-TV.

Bianca moved to KSBW 8 in Monterey, California, in 2015 and covered a wide range of breaking news from the Soberanes wild fires to the 2017 calamitous storms hitting the Central Coast. Her reporting on local and national political candidates served as a key component of the station’s Commitment 2016 news coverage.

Bianca joined KMBC 9 News in October 2018 and is excited to learn more about the city.

Bianca loves to spend her spare time at the beach with a book, travel and try new food, especially spicy food.

Entertainment by MARIACHI ESTRELLA KC

The Mariachi Estrella KC came together October 1, 2017. The group was founded by Jesse Perez, of Austin, TX and Rafael Ornelas, of Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. The group initially started out with 5 members and within the past four years they have grown tremendously and gained amazing players to join their group. This group is extremely talented. Members of this Mariachi band include music educators, college students who are music majors, a veteran and a few self-taught individuals. Since 2017, Mariachi Estrella KC has played at hundreds of private venues throughout the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

$1,000 $1000 Donation

Your gift of a $1,000 could pay the past-due rent for one family and help to prevent homelessness.

$500 $500 Donation

A gift of $500 could provide the funding necessary to help stop an eviction preventing homelessness or it could provide emergency shelter for a family for up to 2 weeks.

$250 $250 Donation

A gift of $250, for example, could help by providing weekly individual counseling sessions for a person struggling with an addiction disorder or who is abusing alcohol or other drugs.

$100 $100 Donation

A gift of $100 could provide assistance with purchasing over-the-counter medication or eyeglasses or it could provide up to 2 weeks-worth of personal hygeniene products or diapers (adult or infant) for someone who cannot afford them.

$50 $50 Donation

A gift of $50 could provide an instructed exercise class for our seniors to promote and maintain their health and wellness or it could provide 3 children with an extra set of clothes and underwear.

This is a members-only resort collection. No blackout dates, but all reservations subject to availability. Holiday fees will apply during travel weeks that include a major US holiday. Package is valid for a Grand Mayan Master Room, which sleeps two adults and two children, twelve and under. Additional charges will apply for guests exceeding the limit. Hotel/Resort taxes and fees, meals, room incidentals and airfare are not included and are the responsibility of the redeemer. Estimated room tax is approximately $11/day per room. Nuevo Vallarta, Cancun-Riviera Maya, and Los Cabos locations have an additional $150 resort fee, which includes one-way transportation services from the arriving airport to the resort.
