First off: Thank you for supporting Texas youth build power! Thank you for sharing your passion with your friends, family, coworkers, and more. Your donation directly allows us to create more opportunities for young people in our communities to grow, find jobs, and become leaders.
This year we are fundraising for our inaugural Youth Steering Committee. This Steering Committee will give youth participants the ability to serve as a decision-making voice in our work! They will be providing constant feedback to our work, planning out programs, helping us fundraise, etc. As always, the young people in this group will be paid hourly for their hard work and dedication to the organization.
So... This campaign’s goal will be to fundraise $20,000 to fund stipends for youth decision-makers.

- Peer-to-peer fundraising (P2P) is when supporters of a nonprofit organization or cause fundraise on behalf of that nonprofit by reaching out to their network of family, friends, coworkers, etc. (their peers). Often, the P2P fundraisers launch their efforts simultaneously with one of the nonprofit’s fundraising campaigns.
- How long are we fundraising?
- Youth Rise Texas’ Steering committee is beginning it’s pilot year at the end of 2023. The first fundraising campaign will run from Thursday October, 19th - Tuesday, November 28, 2023 (Giving Tuesday) You may fundraise anytime; however, we can offer more support during our scheduled campaign periods.

- YOU! Our subscribing donors, volunteers, and board members- y’all the best advocates in Texas. Y’all reach out to us with so many incredible ideas about ways to engage with our mission. We want to empower you to talk about YRTX in your community and find creative, fulfilling ways to be a YRTX advocate. Where do we fundraise? On the internet, in your home, anywhere! All P2P fundraisers are encouraged to set up a team via BetterUnite fundraising page to process their donations. How you make use of this donation page is up to you! Many folks go the modern-classic route of emailing the BetterUnite page and spreading the word via social media.
