Peer-to-peer fundraising (P2P) is when supporters of a nonprofit organization or cause fundraise on behalf of that nonprofit by reaching out to their network of family, friends, coworkers, etc. (their peers). Often, the P2P fundraisers launch their efforts simultaneously with one of the nonprofit’s fundraising campaigns. 

Will you help us fundraise for our Youth Steering Committee? This campaign’s goal will be to fundraise $20,000 to fund stipends for youth decision-makers. $20,000 = 1,000 hours of paid work for a youth worker!

What is our Youth Steering Committee? YRTX steering committee positions youth to be the organization's decision-makers. This committee helps decide the organization's priorities and manages how our programs' future operates. This committee consists of youth who have escalated through our Leadership Development Pipeline and are elected by their peers to serve. This is a paid position.

Our Mission: Youth Rise Texas works to support young Texans rising from systems of oppression. We develop generations of leaders that heal our communities and are at the center of organizing the next 10 years of transformative change in Texas. All of our leaders come from communities impacted by policing, incarceration, and/or immigration policy.
