Wonders & Worries provides free, professional support for children and teenagers through a parent’s serious illness or injury, so that they can reach their full potential. Parents dealing with a cancer diagnosis, TBI, stroke, heart condition, neurological condition, or other physical illnesses and traumatic injuries often don’t know how to talk about their diagnosis and its impact on the family.

Our experts provide the foundation children and teenagers need to reach their full potential even though their parent is ill. Through individual and group therapy sessions, kids and teens learn about illness and build coping and communication skills. Our comprehensive programming is the only one of its kind in the US.

Wonders & Worries has been helping families who are dealing with parental illness since 2001, providing both an immediate and long-term solution to an acute problem in our community by supporting over 14,000 children and parents. All services remain free of charge to families because of the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations.
