A generous donor has been secured to match all funds raised $1 for $1 through 12/31/21!
Dora Alicia Estrada-Michael was 62 when she passed. She was my oldest sister of eight siblings. She was born in 1949 and died in 2012 after a five-year battle with breast cancer. Dora was a mother of three and grandmother to three when she died. When her son, Christopher, took her for chemotherapy she would ask him to play “Take the Long Way Home” by Supertramp. There was a certain part of the song that resonated with her because she was also going through a divorce at that time.
Does it feel that your life’s become a catastrophe?
Oh, it has to be
For you to grow, boy
When you look through the years and see what you could have been
Oh, what you might have been
If you would had more time
So when the day comes to settle down
Who’s to blame if you’re not around?
You took the long way home
In memory of my sister Dora and a those who have fought and are fighting breast cancer, I am asking for your help by donating to support women in our community who don’t have the funds for mammograms and other breast health services. Your gift in any amount would be appreciated.
This ongoing program of the Foundation has served over 10,000 residents since inception. 100% of funds raised remain locally in the counties served.
The 2021 In the Loop Campaign is in honor and memory of Joyce White who founded Project Mammogram 20 years ago. Please help us continue her legacy through your sponsorship or donationation. Your donation will have double the impact...as a generous donor is matching all funds received by 12/31/2021.
Project Mammogram provides free to the patient mammograms, diagnostic services and other necessary procedures to greater Lake Houston residents who qualify. Qualification is based on income level, lack of insurance and residence within Northeast Harris, East Montgomery, and Liberty counties. Being In the Loop solidifies your commitment to impact the lives of those in need of lifesaving services and initiatives of the Northeast Hospital Foundation.
We’ll see you In the Loop and with our donor match...Double your impact!
All donations received by 12/31/2021 will be matched by a generous donor
All funds received will be restricted to the Project Mammogram Program
Your donation will be recognized with your company logo or name listed on website, social media, and newsletter communications.
