Layla's Legacy is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by Bryan and Sara Stamp. The Stamp's daughter, Layla, was diagnosed at age 4 with the most common form of pediatric brain cancer, Medulloblastoma. Although it is the most common, the survival rates vary greatly depending on the child's age, tumor subtype and disease spread at the time of diagnosis. In addition, a child that experiences a relapse of the disease after initial treatment, like Layla did, has only a 25% survival rate of 5+ years.
Those numbers are what drove the Stamps to start Layla's Legacy. They believe that funding innovative research is the only way to make sure no other family loses a child to these awful diseases.
