Help us replace more than 200 trees in Downtown San Diego neighborhoods.
Our team is gearing up to celebrate Arbor Day on April 30 by replanting 30 TREES currently missing from our Downtown streets. Our collaborative partners at URBAN INTERVENTIONS have also generously contributed a $5,000 match grant to help plant even more trees in the future. Over 130 million acres of America’s forests are located right in our cities and towns, but they need our help. During an assessment in 2019, the Downtown Partnership Clean & Safe program found that more than 200 street trees were missing from our Downtown neighborhoods.
The Downtown Partnership and URBAN INTERVENTIONS have come together to launch Grow Urban, an initiative to replace all of Downtown’s missing street trees and help our urban canopy thrive.
All money donated to the Grow Urban campaign will be used to buy and plant trees of a size that have the best chance of living out a long life in our Downtown. You can donate online or write a check to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Downtown San Diego Public Spaces Foundation (401 B. Street Suite 100 San Diego, CA 92102).
Your support gets us one step closer to replacing all of Downtown San Diego's missing street trees and helping our urban tree canopy grow and thrive!
