Help Coreo, a Seattle local dance and fitness studio, survive COVID-19

7/20 UPDATE:

We're so grateful for the overwhelming support from our friends and family! Within hours of launching the campaign, we've reached our first goal of $6,000, which would cover one month of rent and utilities, and we're now working towards our next goal of raising two months of rent and utilities. Please continue to support the Coreo SOS Campaign, and help us keep our doors open. 🙏

OUR STORY:

Hi everyone, my name is Tiffany, and I’m the founder / studio mom of Coreo, a local dance and fitness studio in Seattle! We opened just two years ago with the mission to bring fun, invigorating and high-quality dance and dance-based fitness classes to our community.

I’ve enjoyed my prior career in management consulting very much, but dance was always my passion, and I decided to take a leap of faith to pursue my lifelong dream of opening my own small studio. I left my full-time job, and began my journey of building Coreo from the ground up. After months of driving around town searching for the perfect spot, I found our current space in Lower Queen Anne. Working hard on every detail of the studio, from our paint color, flooring to furniture fixtures, we finally welcomed clients to our studio in the summer of 2018.

Our signature class is Bungee Workout, and we are proud to be the only location on the West Coast to offer the original Bungee Workout program. In addition, we also offer a variety of dance and dance cardio classes. We have a small but mighty team, and after all the hard work we poured into the studio, we were finally seeing our class schedule expanding and community growing.

However, just when things were getter better for us, we were hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, and had to close our doors on March 17. We were devastated, but we stayed positive, and continued to serve our clients through virtual classes and on-demand tutorials, while supporting important causes such as donating to the Seattle Public Schools Education Equity Fund and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Despite all of our efforts, unfortunately, our classes just wasn’t enough to cover our mounting expenses. We’re now in our fifth month since our initial closing, and given the trajectory of the pandemic, we foresee that our operations will continue to be challenged through the end of the year, and our future is very uncertain.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Like many small brick-and-mortar businesses, we’ve been severely impacted, and we’re struggling to stay afloat. Dance and fitness was hit particularly hard, because the core of our business is delivering in-person group experience. We made every effort to manage through the pandemic by innovating and pivoting our services, but we realized that if we want to survive one of the greatest economic crisis in history, we need our community and friends.

If you’re able to, please donate to our Coreo SOS Compaign. Our first goal is to raise funds to cover one month of rent and utilities, and donations of any amount is very much appreciated! We know we’re good at what we do, and your support will give us a fighting chance to stay in business and continue to serve our clients when the pandemic is over...

With deep gratitude and appreciation,

Tiffany & the Coreo Team
