Mac McLester Champion of Recovery - Wes Hurt
Communities for Recovery is pleased to announce Wes Hurt as the Mac McLester Champion of Recovery Award winner. The award will be presented at the annual Lifebuilder Luncheon taking place on May 11, 2022.
Wes is a father of two boys, a serial entrepreneur, and a person in recovery from alcohol and drug use. His love of business coupled with the desire to use his experiences and gifts for the greatest good resulted in the birth of CLEAN Cause.
Based in Austin, Texas, CLEAN's innovative business model supports recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions with 50% of net profits funding recovery housing scholarships. CLEAN Cause has granted over 3,047 sober living scholarships representing more than $1,523,500.
Wes leads the CLEAN Cause team of over 45 employees, many of whom are in recovery themselves. As a result of his passion for giving back and a strong resolve to boldly disrupt the status quo around addiction and recovery, Wes recently founded the CLEAN Cause Foundation. His vision and mission have helped impact thousands of lives and given a kickstart to people who needed it the most.
