Communities for Recovery's goal is to build a strong and healthy recovery community in the Austin area and beyond.
Communities for Recovery is a nonprofit organization in Austin, Texas that supports long-term recovery for people with substance use and co-occuring mental health conditions by partnering with other organizations in the community to provide peer-supported recovery services. We offer a wide array of recovery support services, most of which do not have an eligibility requirement other than the desire to participate - including coaching, ancillary supports, family education and support, wellness classes and social events. We are well-known for our volunteer-based approach to recovery and, we utilize peer recovery coaching - an evidence-based approach to providing people in early recovery with one-on-one sessions to create individualized recovery wellness plans.
Almost as important are the ancillary support services provided by Communities for Recovery, including bus passes, clothing for employment, a computer lab and daily community support through our Recovery Cafe and volunteer-led meetings. We partner with many other organizations, nonprofits, hospitals, businesses and individuals in Central Texas to provide connections to a positive and supportive community that encourages relationships and purpose to thrive.
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!
