Share the joy of Christmas by serving at the Christmas Store where families will purchase new gifts for $1, $3, $5, $10, taking stress out of the holiday season.

Why Host a Christmas Store?

Most of the families who will be assisted through the Christmas Store are working people who simply cannot absorb the added expenses of the holiday season. Gifts, big meals, traveling to see friends and relatives… even a Christmas tree can be an extravagance they can’t afford.

Who can shop a the Christmas Store?

Families who are served by the ministries at Christian Resource Center.

The ministries include: CARS, Central Texas Pregnancy Care Group, Christian Family Counseling, Faith Home Restoration, Jail to Jobs, Job Seekers Network, Partners in Hope, River City Hope Street, Reveal Resource Center and Samaritan Health Ministries.

Note: If you are a CRC parent, please register by December 10, 2024 with your Ministry Leadership Team.

What to bring to qualify to shop at the Christmas Store

Parents should bring an ID to confirm registration from the ministry that they are served by through the CRC.

What will happen at the Christmas Store?

Parents will check-in at the front door and then be paired with a personal shopper who will help them carry the gifts they select for their children – up to 3 gifts per child (depending on the number of toys that are donated). Each gift will be priced at $1, $3, $5 or $10 with bicycles or large items priced at $20 (while supplies last). Once selected and paid for, toys can be taken to the wrapping station where parents and volunteers will wrap the gifts.

Prayer partners will be available to provide personal support and encouragement for shoppers.

All infants and children will enjoy fun activities, snacks, and refreshments in the Childrens Ministry area.

Where do the toys come from?

Toys are donated by CRC supporting churches, member ministries and local businesses. New toys for infrants to teenagers are needed. We'd love to have all monetary and toy donations as early as possible this year – ideally in November, but no later than December 6th.

Toys can be purchased through our AMAZON WISH LIST.  When you shop through the Amazon Wish List you won't have to worry about dropping off the toys because they are shipped directly to us!

If you need to schedule a drop-off time, please contact Michelle Johnson at michelle@crctwinlakes.org.

Where will the money gathered from the Store go?

All of the money received through the Christmas Store purchases will go into an education scholarship fund used to assist families in need at the CRC.

What to know about volunteering at the Christmas Store:

Dress comfortably & join us in the gym December 11 - December 13. Dress comfortably and festive December 14th!
Due to the physical nature of setting up the store, the large number of guests on Dec 9, and the sheer volume of tasks, we ask that volunteers are age 14 or older. Contact karencolvinatx@gmail.com with any questions. Thank you for serving with us!
