The 34th Annual CARE Breakfast supports CARE Dallas, a nonprofit, community-based organization which responds to concerns and challenges associated with substance use disorders.
This year's CARE Breakfast will be held on Monday, November 12th at the Renaissance Hotel in Dallas. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m.and conclude promptly at 9:00 am.
We are welcoming featured speakers Anita Baglaneas Devlin and her son Mike Devlin who will share the story of Mike’s battle with drug addiction.
With a seemingly perfect life with a loving family, good grades, and the top spot on his high school lacrosse team, Anita was in denial that her son could be an addict. But when faced with losing him, Anita faced his battles, along with hers, with bravery and determination.
This powerful mother-son story is chronicled in their co-authored book, S.O.B.E.R*. Mike has been in Dallas since 2011 and has been very involved as a respected lacrosse coach, and many will know him from the local recovery community as well.
CARE is a valuable community organization that provides education for families struggling with substance use disorders; provides speakers for students, parents and educators; and serves as a no-cost, confidential referral resource for anyone who needs help with alcohol or drug dependence. CARE serves more than 12,000 individuals and/or families each year through its programs and services. Thank you for supporting CARE’s mission to respond to the increasing concerns and challenges associated with the misuse of alcohol in our community. With your help we can continue to provide the resources needed in order to help families heal.
