"Jeremiah the Innocent" chainsaw carved sculpture from wood. The sculpture is approximately 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall. Artist – Tony Barnes, local Austin St. Andrew’s Episcopal Middle School teacher.   “One of his favorite Austin creations is the Daniel Johnston "Jeremiah the Innocent" mural on West 21st and Guadalupe. When Barnes heard of Johnston's recent death, he wanted to honor his legacy and work in mental health awareness. Inspired by Johnston's mural, Barnes created his own version of "Jeremiah the Innocent" out of wood.”  Excerpt from Fox 7 News story with Shannon Ryan. The proceeds will go to the non-profit organizations, Hi How Are You Project and The Austin Center for Grief & Loss. For more on Daniel Johnston visit, I Love You So Much: The Austin360 Podcast.
