Epiphanies is an opportunity to attend cutting-edge performances by emerging playwrights, scripts that in some cases have never been seen by a live audience before.
The plays that are presented at Epiphanies are the absolute best. Out of 300 submissions, we hand-select the four that are presented through the festival. These readings are entertaining, intriguing, and push the boundaries of what theatre can be. But not only do you get to see staged readings of these important stories that are still in progress, you have the opportunity to see a world premier fully staged production of last year's winner.
So in short, what is it like? It's the experience of a lifetime. 5 plays. 1 world premiere. 4 plays-in-progress by world-class playwrights. And the opportunity for you to offer invaluable feedback to the artists bringing these works to life.

Cardboard Castles Hung On Walls
by Amy Tofte
A socially-conscious Artist uses their latest exhibit to publicly skewer a popular liberal Politician regarding the city's housing crisis. The Politician shows up hoping to thwart the opening of the exhibit that might lead to wider political fallout. But while the Artist and Politician come to a tentative resolution, they fail to notice the humanity witnessing their entire debate who isn't helped by any of it. And when they finally see their fellow human... It's not what you'd expect.
