Solstice Recovery Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to provide affordable recovery services so that ANY addict seeking help would be able to receive quality care, regardless of financial situation. We pride ourselves on being a safe haven for the chronic relapser not looking to go back to "treatment." Our program revolves around the spiritual principles of the 12-steps and is presented by 100% sober team that is living those principles in their own recovery. Every day we see men gain success in life after addiction as a result of the compassionate and fun-loving environment we have created at Solstice. This non-punishing and non-shaming culture allows them to focus on themselves and connect with their higher power. It also leads to lasting relationships and support systems that are paramount to long-term recovery. To date, Solstice Recovery has admitted over 400 men, 60% of which have been free of charge.

We are so excited to share three different stories of inspiration through our amazing guest speakers. Wes Hurt, founder of Clean Cause, Channing Neary, criminal defense attorney, and Brit Hager, former NFL linebacker and father of Solstice alumn, all have unique experiences with addiction.

Britt lives in Westlake with his wife, Bridgette Hager, and they have four, extremely gifted sons. The Hager family has a unique and personal exerience with addiction. Britt says, "Substance abuse has affected my family and has been a day to day battle of hope and worry. But hope becomes greater once you have Solstice in your corner."

Wes Hurt and CLEAN Cause

Wes Hurt, founder of Hey Cupcake! and Clean Cause, is no stranger to addiction. Struggling with alcoholism since high school, more than two decades now, and opiate addiction, he’s come to terms with the fact that he lives life a little faster than most. Now with Clean Cause, a water and energy drink company that gives 50 percent of its profits back to drug and alcohol recovery efforts and employs former addicts, he is able to fulfill his purpose as an entrepreneur with a cause that is bigger than himself. He’s fighting fire with fire, as he likes to say, and going up against energy drink giants like Red Bull with a mission that everyone can believe in. Fifty-percent of the company’s profits go toward Sober Living Scholarships. These scholarships provide support for recovering addicts during the critical 30-day reintegration period following rehab, when a person is most vulnerable to relapse. Clean Cause also makes a point to hire employees who are on the recovery journey. To date, Clean Cause has donated $250,000 and provided 500 scholarships toward keeping members of the sober living community in Austin and beyond clean. Wes resides in Austin with his wife, Sheila, and their two boys, Jude and Otis.

This event is a critical funding source for Solstice Recovery and we are turning to our community for support and participation. Please join us in the fight against addiction. We need your help. For additional donation options please visit our website at www.solsticerecovery.com/donate.
