Cash Bar, Gourmet Snack Trays for Purchase, Exciting Raffle Prizes and Donation Opportunities
Join us for a fun evening at the Drive-In Movie Theater where you can be socially responsible while social distancing!
Guests will enjoy the movie WASTED! A Story of Food Waste, produced by celebrity chef and documentarian, the late Anthony Bourdain. Proceeds raised by the event will support Saving Grace’s important work of connecting nutritious food to those most in need. In the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area, more than 90,000 children, seniors and families experience hunger regularly.
The event will feature exciting raffle prizes to win and other donation opportunities, a cash bar, and gourmet snack trays for purchase. Guests will celebrate Saving Grace's 7th Birthday and hear about their work with area food vendors and partner nonprofit agencies to combat food waste and to provide healthy food to the hungry. You can enjoy the evening from the comfort of your car or bring lawn chairs to sit beside your car.
"Wasted! A Story of Food Waste" aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle and eat food. Through the eyes of chefs like Anthony Bourdain, Dan Barber, Massimo Bottura and Danny Bowien, audiences will see how the world's most influential chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system.
The film also exposes how food waste directly contributes to climate change and shows how each of us can make small changes, such as using excess food to feed the hungry, to solve one of the greatest problems of the 21st century.
