Latinitas offers certification programs for students allowing them to learn the basics of real-world skills such as website design, coding, journalism, and content creation. If you have a student that is interested in media and/or technology, Latinitas’s certification programs for teens are the perfect way to complement their education and allow them to learn new skills!

While enrolled in the Code Chica++ Program, Code Chica alumni will be placed in a cohort for a 10-week long advanced coding course.

• This program is available to Code Chica alumni/ those who have already completed a cohort of Code Chica. Students are high school girl-identifying, trans and non-binary students between 14 to 18 years old.
• Participants will... 
  • Work with the Lead Instructor and engage with guest speakers with subject matter expertise in computer science, learn fundamentals of development and engineering, to build their own features in teams! 
  • Use the platform GitHub to learn about source control, writing tests, fixing bugs, and other development fundamentals. 
  • Work in teams to build new features on an existing application. The girls will get to explore roles such as Product Manager, Designer and Engineer in their groups. At the final showcase, the students will present with their teams and demonstrate how they built and developed their features.
