The Connecticut Dental Hygienists Political Action Committee - ConnHyPAC - strives to raise funds that support efforts made to position licensed dental hygienists in primary healthcare roles and to allow licensed dental hygienists to practice to the full extent of their dental hygiene education and licensure. Funds raised can be used to contribute to various legislators’ campaigns, particularly those that are sympathetic to the issues of our profession.  

Financial support may be made by any Registered Dental Hygienist, their spouse, members or their immediate family, and others who wish to help the Connecticut Dental Hygienists’ Association meet advocacy goals.  For a minimum contribution of $20.00 to the PAC the donor is eligible to receive a ConnHyPAC pin.  Fund-raising events are held periodically, including during the annual Nutmeg Conference and popular Red Shoe Celebration.

ConnHyPAC, as an independent, autonomous Political Action Committee, helps  to financially sustain advocacy goals. ConnHyPAC accepts contributions in accordance with the State Elections and Enforcement Commission (SEEC) and are subject to the approval of the ConnHyPAC Board of Directors. Funds shall be disbursed upon agreement of the ConnHyPAC Board of Directors.
