Hangout for Hendrix | Volunteer Opportunities

BraveOnes Foundation's 6th Annual Hangout for Hendrix Fundraiser will be on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 outside of Bosscate Kitchen & Libations in Irvine, CA. BraveOnes is a volunteer run 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising resources and awareness for Children in Need so that they may experience the Joys of Being a Child. Hangout for Hendrix is an annual event in honor of our first BraveOne, Hendrix Kunze, who passed away in 2017 at the tender age of 1. This little warrior encountered several health challenges and had a medical team of over 10 specialists - Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) was his home away from home.

All proceeds from this year's Hangout for Hendrix fundraiser supports creating childhood joy through BraveOnes' Meaningful Meals and Toys for Joy Programs. Organizations that benefit from these campaigns include CHOC’s Neuroscience and Mental Health teams, Waymayker's Youth Shelter - Huntington Beach, West Orange County Consortium for Special Education and other invidiauals or groups with children in need.

The Hangout for Hendrix Experience is an evening out for a good cause that includes:

• live bands
• food + adult beverage tastings
• cornhole + ping pong
• silent auction

Calling All Volunteers!

Hangout for Hendrix is a 3 hour event that requires the help of many. We are extremely grateful to anyone that would like to join our BraveOnes Tribe so our event is an enjoyable and rockin' success for all ages. Volunteer opportunities are available for event set-up, take-down and during the event. **All Volunteers are encouraged to wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes to walk/stand in. Please note that this event is outdoors on a lawn.
