Investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs is vital to impacting the success of your community. Investing in local business builds healthy communities that thrive and prosper! The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Scholarship Fundraiser funds both efforts.  The BACC Virtual Auction supports:

1. The BACC Spring Scholarship Awards. Awards go directly to senior high school students who plan to attend community college, universities, trade and certification programs that enable them to pursue their dreams and build future careers.
    
2. Business and Community Programming. From professional resources that provde the tools for local business to succeed, to community events that bring people together, these programs result in dollars spent local bulding healthy communities.  
    

The BACC Scholarship is named after a former Young Entreprenuer, Lauren Brown, who managed marketing for the Chamber, but sadly passed away at the age of 29 from ovarian cancer.  Application forms for the Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship are available on our website at www.BarringtonChamber.com. 

Bidding on our Silent Auction is open to everyone.  All items and bidding is online.  The Auction will close on Monday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m.  Bid winners will be notified if they have won their item.  You can pick up your winnings at the BACC office the following week. If your item is a gift certificate or gift cards, those items can be mailed to you directly. We may have to reach out to verify address.  Gift baskets, alcohol and other physical items must be picked up at the BACC office, 190 E. James St. in Barrington Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  You can also call BACC at (847) 381-2525 to make specific arrangements.

BACC has nearly 800 members including large and small employers, main street retailers, professionals and more. Our Chamber creates programming and offers resources that unify, market and promote local business.  We are the go-to resource for local business referrals.  Our website processes thousands of targeted searches for local resources each year.  Our office staff fields thousands of inquiries annually for local business and community information.  And, our printed directories are important community resources delivered to every mailbox in the Barrington area.
