In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Let Every Voice Be Heard. Keep the Dream Alive.

Every year on MLK Day, people around the world honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., one of the greatest civil rights leaders in history. It is a day to remember and recognize all that he achieved for racial equality and how much change that still needs to happen to achieve his "Dream" of freedom and justice. In collaboration with Austin Public Library, this event is an opportunity for everyone to come together to reflect on racial justice and building community.

Did you know MLK's first public speech was delivered at age 15? The power of young people's voices and perspectives are invaluable, and why we are thrilled to have violinist "JC Stringz" perform, and we'll screen "The Boy King" and invite our teen BRAVE Ambassadors to serve as facilitators for the breakout discussions. Listening, sharing, unpacking between cultures and generations are steps for us to discover our similarities and share our differences to be a more B.R.A.V.E. community! Invite your friends, neighbors, classmates, and co-workers to join this FREE (with RSVP) family-friendly event.
