Join us in supporting the Austin Symphony Orchestra by volunteering to guide students off of buses and into their seats at the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s Young People’s Concerts before and after the performances.
These concerts introduce over 24,000 Central Texas children in the fourth to sixth grade to the wonders of symphonic music each year. With the use of modern technology the students get an up close look at the orchestra. Four video cameras zoom in on the Maestro and the musicians as they are playing . . . images are projected on a giant screen behind the orchestra and voila . . . the audience can see what they hear. Women’s Symphony League volunteers greet the students as they arrive and usher them to the concert hall. These concerts are among the most innovative in the country. The audience can see what they hear and hear what they see.
Volunteers will be assisting the students off of busses and back onto busses after teh performance.
