| This piece of Japanese history comes from the Russian-Japanese war period, most notably the Russian defeat at the Battle of the Japan Sea. With a combination of steel and wood handle, and slanted tip, this sword is similar to a Japanese samurai katana as the steel is extra fine and very strong. There is also a locking mechanism that keeps the sword in the sheath. Potentially captured by US forces during World War II in the Pacific and brought back. Own this sword today! | The Pattern 1908 cavalry trooper's sword was the last service sword issued to the cavalry of the British Army. With a straight fullered blade struck with a series of marks including "16' at the forte, sheet steel guard with molded brim, checkered plastic grip in its black painted iron scabbard. It has been called the most effective cavalry sword ever designed, although its introduction occurred as swords finally became obsolete as military weapons. | From the Land of Horses… Drs. Claire and Justin Fraser are proud to present the winner of this item with a collection of six rare Bourbons that are difficult to find outside of Kentucky. Most Bourbon lovers have tried Basil Hayden, a staple of Kentucky Bourbons. But what about their 10-year select aged whiskey? A lighter proof but high-rye Bourbon, this has soft flavors of caramel, sweet cherry and oak. Next, Castle and Key’s 2023 Small Batch Bourbon is nearly impossible to find outside the Distillery. With aromas of apple cinnamon and mint, it carries flavors for orange and apple. From a modern distillery in downtown Louisville, Rabbit Hole Heigold offers toffee and butterscotch with aromas of vanilla custard. For a completely unique experience, enjoy Barrell Seagrass 16 year-aged rye whiskey. Finished in a combination of rum, Madeira, and apricot brandy barrels, this spirit explodes with fruit jam, with a lingering finish that leaves notes of vanilla and marshmallow. Not for the faint of heart, Calumet’s 15 year aged Bourbon offers cherries and apricots in peppery spice at 105 proof. A few drops of distilled water added, and the flavors jump out, leaving a whiskey with a long finish for hours of sipping. Finally, a quintessential example of perfected Kentucky Bourbon presents itself in Kentucky Owl. Oaky and warm, it pairs vanilla and caramel flavors in a balanced tone. | From Our Cellar to Yours… Drs. Claire and Justin Fraser are proud to present the winner of this item with a collection of six vintage wines from the Napa Valley. These wines represent some of the key varietals of Napa, and have been aged to perfection in the Frasers’ wine cellar. The package starts with a 2018 Chateau Montelena chardonnay. Considered the quintessential example of Napa chardonnay, it is the white wine that won the Judgment of Paris in 1976, establishing Napa as one of the world’s most well-known wine regions. The package includes a 2017 bottle of Krupp Brothers Black Bart Syrah. A combination of warm cherries, chocolate, and cracked pepper, this hard-to-find syrah is often sold only directly to members of the vineyard. Of course, what is Napa without its many representations of cabernet sauvignon? First, we present Ladera Vineyards 2015 Reserve cabernet. Grown exclusively on Howell Mountain in Napa, Ladera’s 97-point wine gives aromas of cherry and raspberry, with flavor profiles of tobacco and dark-chocolate. Contrast that with Chateau Montelena’s 2015 estate cabernet. According to Robert Parker, it is cassis, black plums and raspberries combined with cedar and charcoal, with a touch of lavender. The last two cabernets are nearly impossible to find in these vintages. Hailing from the second coolest micro-climate on a five acre plot that was previously a pre-historic river bed, Diamond Creek’s Gravelly Meadow 2015 yields a jammy but earthy wine exploding with blackberries and a spicy finish. The smallest yielding property in Diamond Creek, this wine is extremely rare. Finally, located on the Napa Valley floor, Alpha Omega’s 98-point ERA 2016 is made entirely of cabernet sauvignon, and is the perfect example of a pinnacle Napa cab. As described by Robert Parker, it is ‘rich and decadently fruited’ with ‘epic length and depth’. Together, these are true treasures for those that enjoy the fruit of the vine.
