Treasured Life Initiative is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to promote prevention of sex-trafficking by bringing awareness of the signs and dangers of sex-exploitation on the Cape & Islands and to raise funds to support survivors through safe housing and the services required for recovery. Cape Cod and the Islands are not immune to this terrible crime. In 2023, there were 65 reported cases of familial trafficking of children on Cape Cod alone. Our Road to Resiliency Fundraiser Auction and Dinner will be held Saturday November 2, 2024 at the Sturgis Community Building, 529 Main Street, Hyannis MA. Our goal is to bring awareness of trafficking to the Cape Cod community, raise funds for the acquisition and management of a safe home, conduct educational events to promote prevention, facilitate Choosing Safety support groups and provide Hope-Filled Bags filled with personal essentials to local service organizations.
We are honored to have as our guest keynote speaker, Whitney Taylor. From a life of abuse, trafficking, incarceration and addiction, she’s changed her pain into purpose. Today, she's a wife, mother, speaker, working full-time in the recovery community. She advocates for survivors who have faced similar trauma. Through therapy, faith and healing, she uses her story to inspire resilience and recovery for others.
