We cannot do what we do, without YOU!
Our two signature events, the gala and 5K, anchor our fundraising efforts each year. We aim to host fun, unique experiences for our supporters and their guests. It requires the varied talents of several individuals to pull off these events. Team members are needed in the planning and execution phases, as well as to act as day-of-event staff. If you are good at party planning, decorating, marketing & publicity, networking, creative thinking, or just having fun, consider pledging some of your time in 2024 to this group.
Our students and apprentices benefit from working alongside others as a team in the Kitchen and Coffee Bar. There are currently a few openings, plus more personnel means we could be open additional hours or have increased offerings. Ideally volunteers would have some kind of prior food-service experience and ServSafe certification or be willing to complete certification. Operations and coordination runs more smoothly when volunteer hours are pledged as regular weekly or monthly hours, but indivduals who are able to work as substitutes on an as-needed basis fill a different gap.
Often we are on the look-out for individuals to complement our talent pool. If you have wonderful penmanship, a flair for holiday/seasonal decorations, like packaging gifts or assembling materials, have a knack for computer work or graphic design, videographer or photographer, DJ or other entertainer, enjoy being social and networking, or any host of other talents, let us know you are willing to lend your gifts.
Occasionally Torch 180 is in need of expertise, perhaps you are an expert or are highly skilled in an area that would benefit our organization... consulting in areas like legal matters or finance, gifting us with your service in bookeeping or contracts, IT or office help, building or equipment repairs and maintenance, etc. Torch 180 is growing and being able to lean on our community for assistance in these areas would tremendously aid in our ability to continue to grow and thrive and impact lives.
Torch 180 would be a fantastic environment for anyone looking for intern experience. Torch 180 would be a great fit especially for candidates who are seeking degrees or expereince in social work, non-profit business, restaurant or hospitality management, marketing/social media, or finance/accounting. Internships are often a win-win partnership and can lead to permanent employment.
