Hola friends! My name is Israel Herevia and for 2022 I have challenged myself to push my physical limits at the age of 42. This new initiative started with a self-imposed goal, but I was inspired by my colleague Vincent and his friend Erica's quest to raise awareness about Tony foundation. I've set a goal of running various 5k,10k, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu events throughout 2022. My goal is to participate in 1-to 2 events each month to bring awareness to the Tony foundation.  

This is my first type of endeavor, but hoping that as I participate in these events I reflect and pray that this small contribution can assist someone in their time of need. I will be announcing each event that I will be participating in via my social media this way you can follow along and share Tony Foundation's story.

If you aren’t sure what to contribute, a 5K is 3.1 miles, so a suggested donation of $10 per mile would amount to $30 per race or a Total donation of $300 for the remainder of the year. If everyone can chip in something, large or small, we can knock out my goal and be heroes for other cancer fighters.

Tony Foundation is a non-profit corporation based in Central Texas. Our goal is to help fill a critical financial need that comes with a new cancer diagnosis. Our founder, Tony Laudadio, faced this very predicament – first, when he was diagnosed in 2013, at age 29, with renal cell carcinoma – and again, two years later, when he was diagnosed with brain cancer (completely unrelated to the renal cancer). He and his family understand the struggle of facing a sudden battery of tests, treatments and even surgeries, while being unable to work due to cancer. Immediate expenses pile up quick, adding to an already intense level of stress and worry. That is why he started TF and continues to try and grow the mission every day.
