Marsuret Prosecco Treviso Extra Dry   From the Prosecco di Treviso region of Italy comes this sparkling wine, made of the Glera Grapes from the Marsuret Winery. This wine offers a better definition of Prosecco than the Oxford Companion to Wine. The clear focus of expressing the Glera grape is key to this producer’s goals. Notes of sea salt air, nashi pears, and Dove soap are prominent in this wine’s personality. The wine has a sweetness and a balanced acid line earning it a “YUM” stamp. Pair with fresh Goat Cheese Salad with Walnuts. Also goes well with Shellfish, Vegetarian plates, Appetizers, apertif and cured meats.     Gran Passione Pinot Grigio, 2019   The Gran Passsione Pinot Grigio has a straw yellow color with an intense bouquet of floral notes and mineral scents. It is clean and fresh with typical mineral taste on the palate.  It is made with the Pinot Grigio grapes from the Friuila Grave region of Italy.  Goes well with Shellfish, Vegetarian plates, mushrooms or an apertif     Selvapiana Chianti Rufina, 2019    An Italian Chianti made from the Sangiovese grapes in the Tuscana Italy region by the Selvapiana Winery. Best of the Board   1. El Enemigo Chardonnay, 2018  (97 James Suckling)   A stunning 97/100 score, and a lofty 4.3 ★ , that’s the kind of value proposition that’s downright legendary. It’s only fitting that this impeccable 2018 El Enemigo (“the Enemy’) white comes from the equally legendary Catena Zapata, the winery that put Argentine fine wine on the map in the first place. The level of pedigree, achievement, and purity of high-altitude terroir delivered by this Chardonnay, is almost unheard of. Native-yeast fermented and aged in French oak for nine months, make a bottle of this “enemy” your friend now. James Suckling, 97/100: “This is another rock-star chardonnay from here with dried-apple, pear-skin, crushed-stone and peach-pit character. Full body. Creamy texture. Phenolic form and a long, flavorful finish. Drink or hold.”     2. Catena Zapata White Bones, 2018  (100 James Suckling)   Catena Zapata Winery, located in Mendoza, Argentina has produced  from Chardonnay grapes this White Bones highly rated vintage. A beautiful grazing of herbs caress your nose – thyme and sage instantly come to mind. There’s a lovely minerality and slight chalkiness on the nose. There’s such a lovely refreshing white berry burst on the nose with a lovely herbal compliment. I love the Chardonnay coming out of Argentina that genuinely represents the local terroir and this is a perfect example. The Adrianna vineyard is located at almost 5,000’ elevation in the Gualtallary sub-district of the Tupungato region. White Bones Chardonnay comes from select rows within Block 1 of the Adrianna Vineyard. The name refers to the soil underneath these rows, which is layered with calcareous deposits and limestone as well as fossilized animal bones - remnants of a river that used to pass through the region.     3. Cristom Pinot Noir Eileen, 2018  (95pts Vinous)   A highly rated Oregan Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley in the Eola-Amity Hills.  This vintage from the Cristom Winery rates better than any other year for this wine. "Deep scarlet. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes spice-tinged raspberry liqueur, cherry and potpourri, along with a deeper cola nuance and a hint of smoky minerality. Velvety and seamless on the palate, offering expansive red and blue fruit, lavender pastille and spicecake flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Shows impressive delineation and finishes extremely long and spicy, with polished tannins and resonating floral and cherry notes. 95 points."     4. Chianti Classico Riserva Berardo, 2016  (96 James Suckling)   This Italian Chianti from the Toscani region comes from the Castelli di Bossi Winery. This riserva has a luminous ruby red color. Appealing aromas of dark cherries, plums, sweet spice, violets, vanilla and hints of dark chocolate and menthol emerge on the nose. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied but smooth with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Tannins are well integrated with the alcohol, and lead to a subtly sweet, silky finish. Pair this wine with Korean short ribs, ragù sauces, gnocchi with roasted rabbit, and beef negimaki.     5. Catena Zapata Melbec Adriannna River ST, 2017  (100 James Suckling)   Red wine from Mendoza – Argentina Extremely popular, Argentinian Malbec is an inky, medium-bodied, dry red wine with strong impressions of dark fruits on the nose and palate. This wine tends to have mellower tannins than its French counterpart.   This cuvée takes its name from a small parcel of the Adrianna Vineyard that is completely covered with oval white stones and was the site of an ancient riverbed. The abundant stones provide optimal drainage and extreme temperatures. They absorb heat and moderate the nights, but also function like ice cubes after a very cold night. Stony soil Malbecs tend to be extremely aromatic, rich and luxurious, just like the River Stones Malbec from Adrianna. This wine can be enjoyed young or aged for decades.     6. O’Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon, 2017 (94 pts Vinous)   The O’Shaughnessy Winery is located in Napa Valley in the United States on Howell Mountain.  The Estate vineyard resides on a one hundred and twenty acre hillside property that is now reaching full maturity at twenty years of age   "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Howell Mountain) is a powerful, dense wine endowed with tremendous concentration. Even so, the Howell Mountain tannins are nicely tamed. Ripe black cherry, black plum, espresso, spice, leather, graphite and dried flowers give the wine its mysterious, somber feel. Readers will find a gorgeous Cabernet that offers superb depth, but also more plushness and early appeal than is typical of Howell Mountain wines. One of the most distinctive signatures of the Howell Mountain Cabernet is the significant presence of blenders - in this vintage, all seven of the Bordeaux red varieties. The blend is 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 5% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Saint-Macaire, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Carménère."                    6.
