We encourage you to put on your dancing shoes, break out the gowns, tuxedos, & fashion and come have amazing evening!</span></span></p> <p dir="ltr"> </p> <p dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif">There will be a three course meal planned, a silent auction, and a few surprises that we are sure youll enjoy! </span></span></p> <p dir="ltr"> </p> <p dir="ltr"><span style="font-family:Georgia,serif"><span style="font-size:20px"><u><strong>Theme | Standing Together for Love</strong></u></span></span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif">Our theme was chosen this year due to the unprecedented attacks on our community. This year has been a heavy hardship for all LGBTQIA+ peoples around the nation; misinformation, bigotry, and physical attacks seem like they are endlessly piling up and the world has seemingly reformed in its bias against our community.<br /> <br /> There have been over 800 anti-lgbtq bills that have been introduced around the nation - this year alone! From trying to ban books that tell our stories, taking away vital healthcare services, and even getting rid of some of our oldest art forms like Drag Queens.<br /> <br /> Despite the attempts to erase or silence us, we will not recess back into dormant lives or revert to hiding who we are - we will continue to live out loud and we hope ALL of you will stay with us in our efforts to move forward into a future of hope, acceptance, & most importantly - LOVE!<br /> <br /> Because Love Wins - #Pride365</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><u><strong><span style="font-family:Georgia,serif"><span style="font-size:20px">At-A-Glance | GayLa EVENT</span></span></strong></u></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif">Since 2019, the Pomona Pride Center has existed to provide safe and inclusive spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Pomona Valley region.<br /> <br /> The Pomona Pride Center is one of the very few LGBTQIA+ spaces in the Pomona Valley Area and the Inland Empire. The current state of our nation this year has greatly affected the efforts of the Pomona Pride Center with the abundant of anti-lgbt+ bills, laws, & efforts to erase our community as a whole.<br /> <br /> With our annual Gayla, we will seek to obtain funding to continue to offer a series of workshops, programs, & services to the greater Pomona Valley Region and others who may live outside the Pomona Valley area. Our programs will have workshops, programs, and activities geared towards mental health, education, and various LGBTQIA+ topics as well as being able to continue creating LGBTQIA+ centered initiatives in our home city.<br /> <br /> We need your help.<br /> <br /> We invite you to sponsor the Pomona Pride Center Fundraising Gayla. The Pomona Pride Center is an essential life-saving resource for those within the area to explore what is important to them, achieve vital self-affirmation, & build skills for a productive life.<br /> <br /> With your support, we will be able to continue providing our community with a range of experiences, services, and activities, with little or no cost as a barrier or burden to them.
