Mystery at the Museum

The Fleet Science Center’s annual in-person fundraiser returns on Saturday, June 25, 2022.  Put on your detective’s hat and purchase your ticket to solve the Mystery at the Museum at this gala event featuring an elegant wine-paired dinner.  Access to clues begins Sunday, June 19 with the launch of a weeklong online silent auction of wines and experience packages.

All registered Silent Auction participants will be entered into a free drawing to win a free private documentary screening in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater for up to 30 guests.

 

No purchase is necessary to enter the drawing. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to register for the Silent Auction. The winner will be chosen and notified the week of June 27, 2022. 

 


Event Details: 

 

Your Mystery at the Museum ticket, auction purchase or donation will support the Fleet Science Center’s many education and community programs, helping the Fleet connect everyone in San Diego to the power of science. 

 

Online Silent Auction – bid on wine and experience packages beginning Sunday, June 19 at 5pm, auction closes Sunday, June 26 at 12:00pm after the in-person gala. Registration and access to the online silent auction is free!

 

Mystery at the Museum gala event will be held in-person at the Fleet Science Center on Saturday, June 25 at 6pm and features a wine-paired dinner, curated by Gary Parker, Founder of the WineSellar and Brasserie.

 

General Schedule:

 

6:00pm - Reception in the upstairs galleries with wine, hors d'oeuvres, games and clues

 

7:15pm - Live program in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater, featuring the solution to our mystery Grape Day 1936: The Disappearing Barrel, the conclusion of the silent auction and a live auction and paddle raise. 

 

7:45pm - Seated wine paired dinner designed by Chef Andrew Spurgin and Gary Parker (Tables seat eight and will be placed to allow additional space between guests.)

 

 

 COVID-19 Information

The Museum is following state and local guidelines to help protect against the spread of COVID-19. Masks are no longer required, but are strongly recommended inside the Museum for all guests. Please check back the week of the event, June 19, for current requirements.
