San Luis Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center is proud to be supporting the wonderful organization Lumina Alliance. Our team name is "We Know The Drill" (pun intended...we do work in oral surgery). We appreciate your support as we raise money for an organization that has a positive impact on many lives.
Join San Luis Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center amongst other supporters for the first annual Celebrate Community Fun Run & Festival, presented by BHE Renewables. Supporters of Lumina Alliance (formerly RISE and Stand Strong) will gather together for this family-friendly event at the beautiful Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo.
Athletes and non-athletes alike can join us in support of the movement to end sexual & intimate partner violence in San Luis Obispo County.
The Celebrate Community event includes a festival in Mission Plaza and a "Fun Run" through downtown SLO. Runners and walkers are encouraged to create fundraising teams in support of Lumina's mission. Participants will compete in fun contests and can wear costumes highlighting their team or company spirit!
Once we reach the finish line, all are invited to attend our "Maker's Market" festival and enjoy music and a silent disco, resource fair, drawing prizes, and lots of family-friendly activities. Food, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. This event will be fun for ALL ages!
Sign up as a Team!
You and your friends, family members, or co-workers can sign up to join the fun run together and fundraise for Lumina Alliance during Domestic Violence Action Month. As a team, you can raise money for an important cause: Lumina's mission to create a safe, thriving, and equitable community here in SLO County. To sign up as a team, click the "Create a Fundraiser" button and follow the instructions, or complete our team sign-up form and we will create the page for you. You will be given your own team fundraising page that you can customize and promote. Or you can watch a video of how to create a team.
We are encouraging teams to set a goal of raising $100 per person. For example, a team of 5 would have a goal of raising $500. Offline fundraisers will also count towards your fundraising goal (If you are hosting a fundraiser for Domestic Violence Action Month, for example, your offline donation will count toward your goal. Please contact us for more information).
Teams will be eligible to win prizes for the following categories:
1) Most team spirit (show up in your team gear with enthusiasm)
2) Most money raised per person
3) Most money raised overall
4) Best costumes (Remember, it IS spooky season!)
