On Friday, September 17, 2021, I will be embarking on a 100k (62 mile) fundraising bike ride to benefit pediatric brain tumor research. We will ride from St. Barnabas Parish on the South Side of Chicago to Long Beach, Indiana.  For many, this will be the longest ride they have ever attempted.

The ride honors the life of Patrick McNamara. At the age of 2, Patrick was diagnosed with a pediatric brain tumor. During his short life, Patrick endured more than 15 brain surgeries, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and countless radiation treatments. Through it all, Patrick never lost his winning spirit and love for family and friends.  Patrick died at the age of 13 from the ravages of the disease. Patrick was the child of my friends Tom and Dee McNamara, the organizers of Pat Mac’s Pack.

Pat Mac’s Pack is a 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation established to raise funds for pediatric brain tumor research. 

Through your generoisty, we have been able to do great things both funding research and financially helping struggling families.
