What Happens After My Free Membership Ends?

Thank you for participating in #CAMPOnDEMAND 2021

Without your time, expertise and energy #CAMPOnDEMAND would not have been possible this year, so thank you for speaking and presenting at our online and on-demand conference. As a token of our appreciation, please accept a complimentary one-year membership to JAWS (a $75 value).

Add your name to the roster of incredible women in the JAWS directory by becoming a member of the Journalism & Women Symposium, one of the few national organizations that devotes itself to women in journalism. Claim your membership today by clicking on one of the two membership options on the top right-hand side of this page (or at the bottom of this page on your mobile device).

What we do:

We characterize our mission this way: “JAWS advances the professional empowerment and personal growth of women in journalism and advocates for a more inclusive coverage of the diverse experiences and cultures that comprise our society. We believe that by advancing women in journalism, we transform the world.

Journalism and Women Symposium (JAWS) brings together working journalists and journalism educators and researchers from across the country to share resources, support, training and information about issues that affect women in our field. We work to create an atmosphere of mutual support and allow each other the chance to exercise the tongue instead of biting it. We provide virtual networking opportunities, webinars, online training discounts and regional programming to all members.

Five benefits of joining:

  1. A growing network of JAWS women who can offer motivation, support and ideas, not to mention the all-important comic relief and camaraderie; we have regional groups and captains hosting events in different hubs across the country.
  2. Access to a members-only platform with a directory, forums and messaging capabilities.
  3. Access to the JAWS private Facebook group, allowing you to communicate with JAWS members around the country and share ideas, experiences, and news affecting women that you may not see reported elsewhere.
  4. Free members-only webinars and discount registration to our annual Conference and Mentoring Project (CAMP).
  5. Other valuable member-only benefits and discounts are offered by strategic partners.
