Including Kids is an amazing organization that has changed to course trajectory of our lives!  Their individualized education plans, commitment to inclusion, and their dedication to my children's growth has been unparalleled.  During these uncertain times, they have had to cancel their major source of fundraising since we cannot gather in large groups.  They are struggling to be able to provide the amazing opportunites to their clients that for us, have been life changing while on this Autism journey. What is Including Kids Autism Center?

On April 21, 2003, Including Kids, Inc. opened its doors with the goal of serving children with autism and related disorders using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Locally there are few programs quite like Including Kids, Inc. that serve children, adolescents and young adults who have a range of abilities and needs including challenging behaviors and limited verbal ability. Their multifaceted program includes full time, part time, after school, parent training, and outreach activities that teach life skills, self-awareness, self-control, communication, social skills and academic training to the level of each individual’s abilities. It is a vital goal for 100% of their clients to be included in the community. This includes in school, at job sites, in group programs and through social activities. Including Kids has served over 1000 families to date.

As the needs of the autism community evolve so do the programs Including Kids offers. Your support allows needs to be met in a truly meaningful way. Support for Including Kids means supporting our friends and neighbors that have a loved one on the spectrum. It allows Including Kids to continue to offer a free Parents Night Out program, babysitters training, and community workshops. It continues to allow training for first responders and healthcare professionals on best practices when interacting with someone on the autism spectrum. It provides opportunities for young adults to receive job training skills and internships.
