Caritas of Austin believes that when every person has a stable place to call home, they can realize their full potential and contribute to our community. Since 1964, Caritas has built wellbeing by making sure that people have a safe home, access to healthy groceries, jobs that provide a reliable living wage, and educational opportunities to learn life skills. Come celebrate 60 years of relieving homelessness in Austin with Caritas and sign up to volunteer at the block party!

This free block party is family friendly with fun activities like face painting, hula hooping, live music, and much more. Volunteer with HomeAid Austin to be the smiling faces that welcomes the community to the block party! 

Description of Volunteer Duties:

• Greet people walking up to registration: “Welcome to the Block Party! Please enjoy and let us know if you have any questions!" If folks have questions about the location of items, please refer to your event map and FAQ sheet.

• Answer questions about the event – bathroom location, activities going on, hours of the event, how to volunteer and give to Caritas of Austin

Join us on Saturday, May 18th, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is from 10am-noon, but volunteers will need to be there by 9:30am. 

Together, we’re ensuring all Austinites have a safe place to call home! 

Parking is available at St. David’s Parking Garage on E. 7th and Trinity.
