Take a stand by showing our support for those members of our community who may not feel it today. Let the world know we take care of each other.

We are giving today because we don't give up.

We are standing up today to show the world that, no matter what, we take care of our neighbors, we greet each other with kindness and open hearts, and we fight to make sure our children know that love is stronger than hate.

Take a stand by showing our support for those members of our community who may not feel it today.  We're asking for you to make a donation--of $30 or more if you can swing it--that we'll divide equally between these six organizations.  It may be a small act, but it is a defiant one, showing that we will support one another no matter what comes our way.

Refugee Services of Texas - Guided by the principles of human compassion and dignity, Refugee Services of Texas welcomes refugees, immigrants, and other displaced people and supports them in integrating and thriving in their new communities.

OutYouth - Out Youth serves the Central Texas LGBTQ (lesbian/gay/bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning) youth and their allies with programs and services to ensure these promising young people develop into happy, healthy, successful adults.

GenAustin - GEN’s mission is to support and guide girls to make wise choices as they navigate the unique pressures of girlhood.  We believe girls deserve a seat at the table.

Council on American Islamic Relations - CAIR's mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

SafePlace - SafePlace provides safety for individuals and families affected by domestic violence, and sexual assault and exploitation.

American Gateways - Champions the dignity and human rights of refugees and immigrant survivors of persecution, torture, conflict, and human trafficking through exceptional immigration legal services at no or low cost, education, and advocacy.

Spread the word and show the world we are a welcoming and supportive community.  We take care of each other.

FAQ:

Who are we?  We are citizens, workers, mothers, friends.  We want to ease the pain in our hearts by supporting others.

Why this?  We want our donations to make an impact and send a message--a message that all are welcome in our homes and communities, that there is no room for hate, and that love will win.  So, by lending your voice to this campaign we hope to stand united in support of our fellow citizens.  There are so many causes to support, and these are just a few of the many organizations that do good in our communities.  If you're inspired, give to them directly or make a donation to another cause close to your heart.

How will we distribute funds?  Every 30 days we will divide the total amount raised evenly between these organizations and send them a check.  Every penny you give (minus processing fees from WePay) will go directly to the organizations named above.

Can I do this in my community?  Yes.  And it will feel great to do something, we promise.  Message us and we'll help you get started.
