Help our Fleet staff bring together teachers, parents, community leaders and business owners to the meet the needs of their community.
The Fleet Science Center’s educators are now providing online access to STEM programing for teachers, schools and students.
Your gift will help us continue to develop special curriculum and to teach classes online. Your gift will help The Fleet Science Center continue to build and enhance our online content that serves students and adults in San Diego County and beyond.
Your gift at this level will help support our safety implementation plan, which includes providing masks, installing new protective measures, increasing hand sanitizing stations and doing upgraded cleaning procedure.
This is critical to getting visitor safely back into the building, which we hope to do as soon as we are authorized to open. The Fleet needs to be prepared for when the Governor gives the okay, and your gift at this level would be exceptionally helpful.
The Fleet Science Center's BE WiSE program connects girls in grade 7-12 to STEM role models.
The BE WiSE program had to pivot quickly and shift their weekly field trips to an online format. Through the virtual space, participation from young women is even higher than in-person field trips!
Since its inception in March, our FLEETtv series on our YouTube channel featuring experiments, activities, and other hands-on fun has generated over 180,000 views, likes and comments.
Community response to this new effort has been tremendous and you can help us keep it going. You support can help The Fleet Science Center continue to provide this resource to our community.
Your gift can help The Fleet Science Center deliver science activity packets. Since the COVID-19 crisis began, our Education staff have collaborated with area school districts to provide students without internet access printed activity packets about science. Without this support from The Fleet, these students run the risk of falling behind in school.
Your gift can make sure The Fleet has the resources to keep providing STEM activity packets to kids.
The Fleet’s Young Scientists Club has continued serving kids age 3-5 since pivoting to an online program in March.
