Like many of your organizations, the Downtown San Diego Partnership has had to take extra preventative measures to protect the health and safety of our employees. While some of our team can conduct their work from home, these preventative steps have been especially critical for our DSDP Clean & Safe staff. Their work keeping our Downtown neighborhoods clean and safe and connecting with our unsheltered residents requires many of them to still be out in our neighborhoods in person. 

We are committed to keeping our team as whole as possible while still providing a safe work environment for our employees and, by extension, their families. Unfortunately, for some that has meant temporary furloughs to keep our employees at greater risk out of harm’s way, while others have had to step away from the workforce for family care or preventative quarantine. Whatever the individual circumstances, the impact COVID-19 has had on these team members weighs on us daily.  

In a true testament to the character of this community we have heard the same concerns from our community. Through this time of great uncertainty, the calls we have heard often are “Is everyone okay? How can I help?”  

We welcome your help to support impacted members of the Clean & Safe team through a donation to the Downtown San Diego Partnership Foundation. These donations will be used to help provide for essential living expenses like internet access for distance learning, utilities, groceries or home supplies.  

CHALLENGE MATCH: We are thrilled to announce that our friends at Cox Communications have seeded this support fund with a matching grant. Additional donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.
