24 Hours in the Tropics

Congregation Beth Shalom's Spring Fundraising Event

STARTING SATURDAY, JUNE 27th AT 9:00 PM

Welcome to 24 Hours in the Tropics benefitting Congregation Beth Shalom.  We are excited to offer two options for your purchases:   EVENT experiences are available for signup and AUCTION items are up for bid.  These are listed in two separate sections labeled EVENTS and AUCTION.  You can toggle between the two by using the boxes on the page or by using your browser's back button.

-----------------------

To start participating, register your phone number and credit card.  Your phone number will act as your login.  The EVENT items are a fixed cost.  When the EVENT is full, it will be closed for further signup. The AUCTION items are open for bidding the full 24 hours.  If you are outbid, you will receive a text from our sponsor, BetterUnite, asking if you would like to increase your bid.  If you have questions about an item, you can text or phone Katie Braverman at 916.606.1876.  She can describe the items in detail to help you decide about your bid.  If you have technical questions about the site or credit card use, you can text or call Bob Bennett at 916.812.7902.

-----------------------

The AUCTION will close promptly on Sunday, June 28th at 9:00 pm.  You will receive a text listing the items that you successfully bought and the amount of your charge.  All sales are final and there are no refunds.  Kindly consider donating the credit card fee by adding it to your cost.  BetterUnite provides this auction website to nonprofit organizations for free and covers their expenses through the credit card fee and any donation you make at checkout. You will be contacted by a member of the Beth Shalom auction committee to arrange for "contactless" delivery.  Thanks for supporting Congregation Beth Shalom and we hope you enjoy your AUCTION and EVENT purchases.

$25 Mindful Meditation with Diane Weber

Are you looking for ways to better manage your stress, anxiety and/or depression more effectively?  Do you want to have a fun time learning new skills, or honing some you already have?  I would like to invite you to experience a relaxing, mindful meditation with me.  We will take one hour using guided imagery to release tension, calm the central nervous system and regain equanimity.  As we begin to learn about diaphragmatic breathing, we will sit in a circle using physical distancing at the onset.  We will then practice this breathing technique, and then get settled into our seats for the guided imagery.  Once we complete the imagery, we will discuss ways to continue our journey into health and well being.  This will be an in-person event unless otherwise notified.  The date will be determined with participants.
