Share the joy of Christmas by serving at the Christmas Store where families will purchase new gifts for $1, $3, $5, $10 (bikes are $20), taking stress out of the holiday season.

Why Host a Christmas Store?

Most of the families who will be assisted through the Christmas Store are working people who simply cannot absorb the added expenses of the holiday season. Gifts, big meals, traveling to see friends and relatives… even a Christmas tree can be an extravagance they can’t afford.

Who can shop a the Christmas Store?

Families who are served by the ministries at the Christian Resource Center and its supporting churches.

Parents, please bring a flier or brochure from the CRC member ministry you receive assistance from or a bulletin from CRC supporting church you attend.

These include Reveal Resource Center, Life Bridge Job Corps, CARS, Christian Family Counseling Service, Job Seekers Network, Faith Restoration Home, Austin Pregnancy Resource Center, Christian Compassion Center, Nineveh, Career LIfe Ministry Trade School, Hill Country Bible Church, Austin Christian Fellowship, Bethany United Methodist Church, Riverbend Church, New Hope Baptist Church, and Hill Country Bible Church.

What to bring to qualify to shop at the Christmas Store

Parents should bring: an ID, a bulletin or flier from the church or business referring them or a flier/brochure from the ministry that they are served by through the CRC.

What will happen at the Christmas Store?

Parents will register at the front door and then be paired with a personal shopper who will help them carry the gifts they select for their children – up to 3 gifts per child (depending on the number of toys that are donated). Each gift will be priced at $1, $3, $5 or $10 with bicycles or large items priced at $20. Once selected and paid for, toys can be taken to the wrapping station where parents and volunteers will wrap the gifts.

Prayer partners will be available to provide personal support and encouragement for shoppers.

Kids will enjoy fun activities, cookies and hot chocolate in a separate area.

Where do the toys come from?

Toys are donated by CRC supporting churches, member ministries and local businesses. New toys for infants to teenagers are needed. Donated toys can be dropped off in the gymnasium December 11-14, Wednesday 7-9:30pm, Thursday & Friday 10am-1pm or 5-8pm and Saturday 10am-12pm. Toys can also be purchased through our Amazon Wish List (idea list - you can buy from other sites as well). The list is now closed. You won't have to worry about drop off; the toys will ship to us!

Where will the money gathered from the Store go?

All of the money received through the Christmas Store purchases will go into an education scholarship fund used to assist families in need at the CRC.

Who can volunteer at the Christmas Store?

Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Kids usually serve during set up & in the kid's activity area. This is a a great way for a family or group to serve together!
