She hates attention and is regularly embarrassed by us, her rumble, tumble squad of children, grandchildren and pets. But nevertheless, Mimi's Mammary Monsters carry on. Loving her and wishing we could be her. Mimi is the glue that holds this messy squad together and we couldn't do it without her. She is our strength, our light - she is our Superwoman!

So when she was first diagnosed with breat cancer in 2013, we were all shocked.

How could our personal superhero have cancer?

She is untouchable - she is off-limits to this disease!

True to form, she set off for MD Anderson and fought - 0ne lumpectomy (plus radiation) later, she was in the clear.

Until 2019...

Her doctor found another lump.

So back to MD Anderson she went for proton therapy.

THEN just this summer, she got the ALL CLEAR from her doctor who said - "I don't want to see you for at least two years!"

That's why Mimi's Mammary Monsters are looking to you to help raise money for Project Mammogram to cover procedures for under- or uninsured women in our community.

We want to fight this disease as hard as Mimi has and we need your help!

Mimi had insurance and the ability to have multiple mammograms but many women in our own community do not.

EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS AND WILL BE MATCHED!

In a normal year, Mimi would spend the third Friday of October at the "In The Pink of Health" Luncheon with her fabulous friends having drenched in pink and hearing an inspirational speech. They would laugh, cry and raise money. Since she can't be there, let's show her some love by raising money in her honor for Project Mammogram and help save some lives! This ongoing program of the Foundation has served over 10,000 residents since inception. 100% of funds raised remain locally in the counties served.

Qualification is based on income level, lack of insurance and residence within Northeast Harris, East Montgomery, and Liberty counties. Being In the Loop solidifies your commitment to impact the lives of those in need of lifesaving services and initiatives of the Northeast Hospital Foundation.

Your gift of $150 covers the cost of a screening mammogram for a Project Mammogram patient. Donors will be recognized by name or with a logo website, social media and email communications. All funds raised will be restricted to the Project Mammogram Program. Your donation is 100% tax deductible.

$250 Pink Advocate Donor

Your $250 donation covers the costs of lifesaving screenings to include: screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms and operations of the Northeast Hospital Foundation. Donors will be recognized by name or with a logo website, social media and email communications.

$500 Pink Patron Donor

Your $500 donation covers the costs of lifesaving screenings to include: screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds, other breast services and operations of the Northeast Hospital Foundation.
