Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) was formed in 1977 by a Juvenile Court judge who hoped trained volunteers could provide more information about children in care, enabling him to make better decisions about their needs. Today, there are CASA organizations in 49 of our 50 states, with thousands of volunteers. CASA of Autauga and Chilton Counties is funded by foundation grants, Federal grants, and buisiness and individual donations. We recruit, train, and supervise community members who are sworn in as judicial volunteers and appointed by the Juvenile Court Judge to a specific case and child who has been removed from their family. Our volunteers do an amazingly important job, giving of their time every month to help our community's children.  We need more volunteers!
