8:00 AM - 8:00 PM CT

Everyone needs a champion and WE Champion Web -A- Thon for Wellness is a Bowtie Kids initiative designed to showcase and highlight the intersections of collaboration needed to support, nurture, and empower children and families impacted by chronic pain so that they can become socially and emotionally empowered.

September is #PAINAWARENESSMONTH and on Friday, September 25, 2020, bring your champion's spirit and join us for our inaugural day-long web-a-thon intentionally curated to engage, educate, inform, and inspire you to become advocates and champions for children and families living with chronic pain.

Each hourly segment will feature expert hosts and panelists offering their expertise and guidance to support all of us as WE rally together as champions and advocates for children.  At Bowtie Kids, we define chronic pain as an unbearable constant physical pain that limits and interferes with the childhood experience.  Imagine the impact that this had on Emily who remembers so clearly that because of her chronic pain condition her family was unable to go to Disney World. Family vacations, sleep-overs, birthday parties, cannonballs off the diving board are just a few of the things that over 1.7 million children in the U.S. who are suffering from chronic pain experience every day.

The day will be filled with segments featuring community leaders, advocates, heads of industry, mental health professionals, health and wellness experts, medical professionals, nutrition and fitness experts, creative arts professionals, and children and families impacted.

For Bowtie Kids the “KNOT” in a bowtie represents the joining together of a network of people who are committed to increasing the social and emotional learning capacity of children and families impacted by chronic pain to reduce the levels of anxiety, depression, isolation, poor self-concept, poor self-expression, opioid addiction and rates of suicide through interactive and experiential learning.

WE Champion. Will you, join us?
