The LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois and Back 2 School Illinois are partnering together to provide Back 2 School kits to children in need by hosting a Build-A-Kit event on October 22, 2021, at the Center on Halsted.
Members of the LGBT Chamber of Commerce, along with corporate affinity groups/ERGs, are coming together on October 22, 2021, to assemble school supplies kits and write “Notes of Inspiration”.
Join us and volunteer, to provide school supplies and a chance for a better education to kids from financially struggling families. For every $19 donated, we are able to distribute one more Back 2 School kit to one more child. These are loaded with over 30 school supplies that kids need to succeed in school and beyond.

To volunteer please do the following:
1. Sign up for a volunteer time slot: Please show up at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time so we can instruct and give you your volunteer t-shirt. Please change and wear your t-shirt for the event as we will be taking pictures throughout the event and media may be present during your shift to cover the event. Plus, they are cool :)

3. Come back for the After Party: Don't forget ALL volunteers are encouraged to return for after 4:30 for our after party build where there will be snack and goodies and cash bar to celebrate together.
4. Continue to fundraise: Feel free to contiune to donate or share your teams link so we can build as many kits and help as many kids as possible.
