Why I Give:

Since 2011, my journey with the YMCA has been a profound one, marked not only by personal milestones but by a deepening commitment to the values of community and giving. It all began at Frost Valley YMCA, where I encountered firsthand the transformative power of generosity. Working at the Residential Camp, I was privileged to witness countless stories of campers and staff whose lives were enriched by the support of donations. It was there that I learned the true significance of giving back.

Now, in my role at the Greater Austin YMCA, I have the joy of overseeing various Youth programs, where I see children from diverse backgrounds flourish in activities like gymnastics, education, tae kwon do, and dance. Regardless of their circumstances, these children find a welcoming space to grow, learn, and connect within our YMCA community.

None of this would be possible without the kindness of donors, both from within our staff and the wider community. Their contributions ensure that every child has the opportunity to make friends, develop skills, and experience the warmth of belonging at the YMCA.
