Founded in 2014, Atlanta Growing Leadership Of Women (Atlanta GLOW) is a faith-based, 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves young women, ages 14-25, by providing creative resources and networking opportunities such as one-on-one mentoring, workshops, and conferences to ignite each young woman’s leadership potential and equip her with the tools to take action and thrive in her home, school, workplace and community.
Atlanta GLOW's purpose is to increase young women's preparedness for post-secondary education and/or employability in occupations that will lead to living wages and benefits that enable them to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Our programs focus on five pillars and the essential role they play in a young woman's life: College Access and Success, Career Advancement, Personal Development, Financial Literacy, and Civic Responsibility. Since our inception, Atlanta GLOW has served more than 700 youth and young adults in our mission to encourage, educate and equip young, low-income women to be thriving, self-sustaining leaders and effective agents of economic growth within their communities. To that end, we will ensure our vision to spark a growth in the number of women qualified to lead low-income communities to positive, long-lasting change is achieved.
Atlanta Glow operates under the fiscal sponsorship of the Women's Nonprofit Alliance, an official 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit parent organization. As an Alliance Partner of the WomensNPA, we are able to accept tax-deductible donations. All online donations will appear on your bank statement as "Women's Nonprofit Alliance”, however, funds are directly credited to Atlanta Glow.
Through our partnership with the WomensNPA, we have been accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). The ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising and board governance.
