AFTS provides a safe and encouraging environment for persons experiencing homelessness and who are at risk. These artistic endeavors form a pathway to self determination, social connections and income generated through the pursuit of their art.

These artistic endeavors form a pathway to self-determination by means of the sense of achievement, social connections, and income generated through the pursuit of their art. All of our artists receive 95% of the proceeds from their work, creating a new pattern of self-worth that transforms the stigma of homelessness into possibility, change and opportunity for every artist in our program. Because we want our artist to reap the full benefit of their creativity, hard work and perseverance we look community and donors to support the program that in turn, supports them.

Join us for an interactive cocktail experience featuring Ballotin Whiskey as we celebrate the spirit and resiliency our artists have demonstrated throughout COVID and raise money for the coming year.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 during this event so we can continue this support of our amazing artists with studio classes, art kits and the promotion of the beautiful work they do.

Each ticket will receive:

$1,000 Fund-A-Need: Annual Show & Sale

Every year we have gathered all of our resources to put on one BIG AMAZING Annual Show and Sale, a spectacular showcase of work the artists in our program have created throughout the year. This one show has been a constant for 29 years.

This past year was SO very different! We gathered artwork from the artists that were able to create during this time. We were so happy to see their masked faces during our artwork drop off. In addition, we pulled artwork from AFTS storage so we were able to include pieces from those who were unable to create during the pandemic. The result was our FIRST EVER virtual show with over 750 original art pieces available for sale, not only locally, but worldwide.  We maintained the ability to give 95% of the sales price of each work directly to the artist. We are so thankful for the support of our patrons.

This year, we look forward to once again implementing an in person show and have already begun planning to make this happen in the safest way possible for everyone!

We need your help to create this event for our artists and their work to shine!

$500 Fund-A-Need: Art Kits

We have worked diligently to adapt to the pandemic. This has been a tough year for our artists and friends on the streets. We had to shut down our Open Studio in  March of 2020. Our program has worked diligently to define how we can make an impact and support this creative community. In June 2020 we implemented an Art Kit pilot program called “Through My Eyes''.

We mail these supplies to artists in our program, or meet them around the city to give them in person. Did you know art supplies give each person an outlet of positive creativity also aiding in good mental health? We have been excited to be a part of their artwork even if from afar.

We also partnered with local nonprofits to support their clients with these art kit supplies. Each kit includes, but is not limited to, pens, pencils, watercolors, paper, sharpie pens, sharpeners, erasers, oil pastels, acrylic paint, glue, masks, paper, all enclosed in a waterproof bag.

Will you support this new venture for AFTS?

$2 Fund-A-Need: AFTS Art Storage

Storage of supplies and artwork have been and still are critical for those on the streets. Many persons experiencing homelessness or who are at risk are unable to store or carry anything other than what is in their backpack or bag. This is where we need donors like you. We provide an organized storage unit for artists in our program to store their work, keeping it safe and secure. This gives each artist peace of mind knowing that their work is being protected and away from the elements while they continue to create through our program.

Please support this vital piece of our program!
