About the Conference

The 2022 APBD Scientific & Community Conference brings together stakeholders in the APBD community – researchers, health care providers, industry partners, and individuals and family members impacted by APBD – to connect, share, and accelerate APBD and allied diseases research. Guided by the lived experience of APBD, the Conference will unite our individual and collective efforts to realize our vision of “a life free of APBD.”

The two-day Conference will include sessions oriented towards a scientific and medical audience: May 11-12, 10am-4pm Eastern Time. It will also feature a concurrent two-hour session tailored especially for people with APBD and their loved ones: May 12, 1-3pm Eastern Time.

The 2022 APBD Scientific & Community Conference is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

 Our Foundation Partners

We are grateful for the ongoing support and dedication of our Foundation Partners. They are instrumental to our work to defeat APBD.

 About the Foundation

Founded in 2005, the APBD Research Foundation is the only US-based nonprofit supporting people with APBD. As the trusted APBD hub for medical providers, healthcare industry, and APBD families, we are the #1 source for patient information and support through our website, social media, e-newsletters, and patient and caregiver Chat events. Our mission is four-fold:

  • Improve the diagnosis and treatment of APBD;
  • Support affected individuals and families;
  • Increase awareness of APBD among health professionals and the public;
  • Facilitate the translation of research into treatments and a cure for APBD.
