The G.O.O.D GIRLS Mentoring Program aims to address issues that plague the society of girls. It focuses on breaking the barriers of lack of self-confidence in school girls ages 11-17. Statistics show that girls between these ages often lack self-confidence and self-esteem, which stifles moving forward.

This laudable program will educate girls on how to break the barrier of lack of self-confidence by providing tailor-made events. Another issue that plagues our youth is leadership. The lack of opportunities for those who live in high-poverty neighborhoods cannot engage in leadership opportunities which is a part of the youth development process. Through the mentoring program, we will support our young girls by helping them gain experience and develop practical leadership skills to become community examples.

The lack of self-esteem and self-identity is a significant barrier that hinders our young girls from seeing their true leadership potential. Unfortunately, millions of school-age girls in America face reported and unreported cases of lack of confidence, self-esteem, and poor leadership development each year. Most of these are often due to poor guidance and counseling, poor parental background, peer pressure, and lack of mentorship programs to help salvage the situation.

The need for this laudable project to help mitigate this threat has fallen upon society and the world.
